Student Clubs

Student Clubs are voluntary associations of students around common interests. Since 2016, the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport has given great importance to student life, establishing work with students and efficient organization of students' leisure time. At one point, the academy operated 12 clubs tailored to students' interests, including sports, conversation, music, book, SHK (KVN), dance, photo, design, debate, youth, intellectual, and volunteer clubs.

 

Currently, 3 clubs continue to operate in the Academy:

 

ASAPES Languages Club:

Chairwoman: Gulsanam Aghayeva

Functions:

  • Organizing regular meetings, discussions, and linguistic activities to enhance the speaking skills of Academy students in various languages;
  • Arranging cultural exchange programs, language seminars, and educational events to expand members' language proficiency and global perspectives;
  • Offering necessary resources and support to members aspiring to enhance their language skills.

 

ASAPES Intellectual Games Club:

Chairwoman: Bahar Huseynova

Functions:

  • Creating and executing intellectual games, competitions, Olympiads, and festivals to promote the language, history, culture, and art of Azerbaijan;
  • Informing the Academy's student body about intellectual competitions held within the institution and across the country, and facilitating their participation;
  • Offering diverse services aimed at fostering the intellectual development of Academy students.

 

ASAPES Patriotic Club:

Chairwoman: Chinara Musayeva

Functions:

  • Organizing consultations, conferences, round tables, meetings, cultural events, and other activities focused on current issues of patriotism and citizenship education among young people. Additionally, preparing educational materials on patriotism;
  • Conducting educational meetings to promote the ideology of Azerbaijanism and highlight the contributions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in its development among the youth;
  • Undertaking projects aimed at recognizing national heroes of Azerbaijan and young individuals who have demonstrated bravery in battles for territorial integrity;
  • Arranging excursions to historical and military sites of significance;
  • Facilitating collective viewings and discussions of films centred around the theme of patriotism.
